Main Club Sponsor
Breadalbane Cricket Club was orginally formed in 1869 and was essentially a friendly playing and travelling sides for years. The club did lie dormant for several years, but started playing again regularly after the war. Finally seven years ago, the decision was taken to play league cricket, and the growth of the club has been spectacular. The team immediately won promotion from the Strathmore Cricket Union Second Division, into Division One. Then promotion was narrowly missed in the team's first year there ( finishing runners up ). However the team did not have long to wait, winniing the title in style in 2006, to take their place in the Premier League.
The growth of the club, during this spell, has also seen the team reach the final of The Perthshire Cup, field a second XI ( in the Strathmore Union Second Division ) and start a flourishing Junior section.
The Club have received recognition for their efforts, on and off the field, from Sportscotland, The Scottish Cricketer Magazine and Wisden.
